Calling Dibs with NFTs

In the United States and Canada, you will notice that park benches are sometimes attached a place bearing a person's name or a phrase. The dynamic follows a logic of 'naming rights'.

Essentially, you pay the city to attach your name to a bench. Money goes to cover the cost of the bench, which is then installed in the park so that the public gets to use the bench. The bench is never really yours, but you can feel good for patronizing a public good. The logic is reminiscent of the way NFTs let you relate with digital assets.
