Adaptation is purposeful change.

Morphological adaptations are changes in structure, order, shape, organization, particularly in relation to the form of an aspect of Reality.

Behavioral adaptations are changes in sequence, cadence, rhythm, response, particularly in the function of an aspect of Reality in relation to its context or environment.
