Sense of Burden, Effort

• Sense 1

  • A burdensome feeling or experience. Negative valance. Happening with perceived negative significance in relation to the self.

• Burden as Experiential Cost

  • Anything that detracts from the experience you're having in the moment, anything that makes the present situation less valuable.

• Burden as Friction

  • The anticipation of burdens in a course of action can put a break on behavior. Friction as a behavioral deterrent.

• Burden as Harmonizing Force

  • Burden is the great commonizer, sense of burden. When you share burden with someone else, you both know the feeling, there's a mutual acknowledgement of kind.
